4.4 is live: payment receipts, SINPE, and XML your system must emit
On 1 September 2025, version 4.4 became mandatory for the traditional regime. Teams that migrated on time now see what the webinar skipped: the electronic payment receipt (REP) for credit sales with VAT on collection, CABYS breakdown, and payment means that include SINPE Móvil and digital platforms. XML has to describe how you got paid, not only that “a sale happened.”
That joins two worlds SMEs keep apart: Hacienda and the gateway. If the customer paid with SINPE and the voucher says “cash,” the 2026 cross-check will not be gentle. If you sold on credit and nobody issues the REP when money arrives, deferred VAT becomes a hole.
Collection and invoice in the same process
- Payment gateways: the payment has to land in the system, not in a WhatsApp screenshot.
- Journal: what suppliers bill you also arrives as 4.4 and also has to be stored.
- A store that charges and does not issue, or issues and does not charge, is half a process.
Hacienda Digital will pre-fill returns from this trail. September XML quality is the raw material of 2026. This is not “innovation.” It is not fighting a pre-fill you do not recognize.
Payment means in the XML is not a dropdown. It is a claim Hacienda will match.
